Main Responsibilities Manage global qualitative and quantitative hindsighting; synthesize regional hindsighting; identify global and regional product and delivery flow risks and opportunities for respective category

* Manage global merchandise financial plans and reconcile against region/channel merchandise financial plans to identify shortfalls, and recommend fixes for respective category

* Actively seek and share best in practices

* Coordinate workflow calendars with CFT

* Cultivate effective CFT and cross region relationships

* Ensure all output from team is of the highest quality standard

* Solicit and perform ad-hoc analysis when needed

* Manage analysis and output to ensure thorough rigour, sound logic, alignment with key strategies, and clarity, for respective category

* In partnership with merchandising and SD Brand Planning, support the development of the Global Seasonal Category Strategy, support in setting the seasonal strategy for respective product category; and support recommendation what regional/channel strategies to incorporate

* In partnership with SD, manage global cluster and module changes; review region/channel recommendations for respective category

* Manage financial framework for the respective product category; manage merchandise mix to achieve topline targets, and identify and communicate implications to margin

* Contribute to the development of the Global Line Plan

* Define assortment requirements to achieve a balanced assortment across key dimensions by class, including price point, fashion/basic, BSR, concept, and ensure all commercial needs are met

* Detail out financial requirements of the style/style colors defined by the Merchants by establishing IMU targets, initial projections based on like styles

* Manage analysis and Line Plan completion for respective category

* Review region/channel input for respective category and provide perspective on opportunity/impact to both SKU targets and business.

* Partner with channels and regions to develop pricing and promotional strategies/guidelines for respective category

* Reconcile regional/channel quantities to understand likely line adoption and track targets against MFP; propose changes as necessary for respective category and partnering with SD, prepare projections for respective categories

* Analyze the business on an on-going basis to understand core drivers; identify opportunities and risks for respective category and partner with merchandising to respond appropriately

* Leverage these learnings to improve on-going decision-making within and across the business segments

* Develop people and talent to drive for a world class planning team

* Be an advocate for people development through consistent guidance, feedback, and coaching

* Create a learning environment where team learns and builds essential skills that benefit the greater organization and their careers

Key Relationships The Director of Brand Planning will partner with the SD Brand Planning, Brand Merchandising, Brand Finance, Regions and Channels to consolidate and synthesize information in order to inform a global strategy across the respective category

* Additional relationships will include but are not limited to: Global Manufacturing & Sourcing, Supply Chain, Creative, marketing, etc.

Qualifications Minimum of 5 to 8 years experience in fashion / apparel

* Excellent planning skills and experience in a similar role for at least 5 to 8 years

* Minimum 3 years of people management experience

* Experience managing a high volume and complex business

* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

* Excellent cross-cultural, cross divisional, cross functional communication and partnering skills

* Global mindset and understanding

* Strong Influencing skills

* Excellent presentation skills

* Ability to prioritize and multi-task

* Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
