Marketing Leader

As the Chief Marketing Officer for Cognizant s Retail/Consumer Goods/Hospitality BU, you will be responsible for creating an innovative BU marketing strategy that aligns with and supports the overall Cognizant brand and point of view, leads to increased brand awareness and reputation in the market, generates new sales activity and revenue, and leads to better and more strategic relationships with our existing and prospect buyer audiences. The leader will work closely with the broader marketing team, including CMO s from other lines of business, Corporate Marketing, Corporate Communications, Global marketing functions, and the Center for the Future of Work, to develop integrated campaigns across multiple channels including advertising and digital marketing, social media, PR, Analyst Relations, Advisory Relations, direct marketing, events, sales enablement and communication across all client touch points. The leader will deliver content-driven thought leadership marketing campaigns and leverage the company s demand generation capabilities to generate awareness and build engagement in the commercial markets segment. The ideal candidate has impeccable communication and leadership skills, with proven success in managing fast-growing organizations through quickly changing markets as well as in traditional and digital marketing techniques and campaigns. We are looking for a game-changer with strategic, creative and financial acumen who possesses the agility to flourish in a startup environment and the diplomacy and navigational skills needed in a large, Fortune 500 organization. This role reports to the SVP of Global Sales with dotted line reporting to the President of the Retail/Consumer Goods/Hospitality BU. The role will have management responsibility. Overall requirements:A visionary with deep understanding of traditional and new, digital marketing strategies, with a track record of innovative campaigns that uses content driven marketing to look around corners and generate strong business resultsExperience developing high level marketing and brand strategies in the context of rapidly-evolving technologiesExperience aligning multiple and diffuse agendas to critical brand and marketing objectivesA business leader with expert knowledge of the services industry and technology and business trends in the relevant industry space. Specific duties include:Build the sub brand, Retail/Consumer Goods/Hospitality, in a way that aligns with and supports the overall Cognizant brand and point of view on digital operations.Integrate the diverse offerings, culture, and messaging from our strategic investments and acquisitions (where applicable)Work as a strategic partner with business executives and sales teams to understand market challenges and opportunities and deliver a business marketing strategy to drive sales and business growth.Collaborate with all facets of Cognizant marketing to align specific BU plans with broader plans as well as to leverage those plans.Lead the creation and production of inspiring design, content and campaigns that build the brand and powers the business objectives of the practiceBuild out the global experience that leads directly to revenueDevelop ongoing and multi-layered promotional efforts to keep target audiences informed and inspired about the work that the BU doesWill identify marketing investment opportunities and secure needed budgets to deliver best-in-class marketing programs that deliver ROI to the BU Serve as key member of the Marketing Leadership team, sharing knowledge and expertise on marketing strategiesLead the efforts to improve the company s position in the marketplace with key partners.Work with the head of marketing to identify processes to benchmark and measure the effectiveness of the marketing programs and communicate the results across the organization.
