Job Description The Marketing Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Proposal Resource Center (PRC) and other communications efforts for the marketing function. Support to the PRC will include drafting original content, producing and distributing proposals, and ensuring proposals are submitted on time and in compliance with state and federal requirements, as well as internal quality standards. In addition, the Marketing Specialist will assist the marketing team with other writing/editing projects, including sales presentation material, development of thought leadership, leadership profiles and other projects as assigned. The person in this role will be part of a dynamic, creative, client service oriented team within the firm's Marketing Department. The position will support Marketing colleagues, search consultants, and employees firm wide in carrying out important marketing efforts. Essential Duties&Responsibilities Collaborating with the Pursuit Resource Center (PRC) team to plan editing, production, assembly, and delivery activities. Help maintain the proposal pipeline documents, content library and project schedule. Create, edit and proofread client proposals. Complete assigned non-technical parts of the proposal (e.g., corporate experience, forms, resumes, simple informational updates), including writing/revising text and coordinating management. Track opportunity metrics and outcomes, and support PRC reporting activities. Develop and provide tools to support multiple practices and consultants. Assist with writing and proofreading thought leadership, including blogs, newsletters, survey reports, leadership profiles and other projects as assigned. Meet short deadline schedules on multiple projects simultaneously. Work with marketing team to implement and adhere to Witt/Kieffer messaging and branding guidelines. Demonstrate professional communication skills verbally (in person and phone) and written (correspondence, report writing, proofreading, email, proposals, etc.). Maintain a high level of confidentiality and communication with consultants throughout the search process. Education and Experience Bachelors degree is required; Masters degree is a plus. Excellent writing and editing skills, understanding of editorial practice and quality standards. 2-4 Years experience of writing business communications from inception to completion with minimal oversight. Experience with Power point, SharePoint and desk-top publishing technology is beneficial Ability to work closely with the PRC and the marketing team, leadership, consultants and administrative staff to gather, synthesize and incorporate information into written proposals and business development presentations Knowledge of industry-wide best practices in proposal methodology is helpful Company Description Witt/Kieffer is the nations leading executive search firm specializing in health care and higher education.
