VP, Marketing

The VP,Marketing will be responsible for overseeing all marketing to advertisers, publishers and other stakeholders internally and externally. The VP,Marketing is responsible for developing the strategy to position adMarketplace within the advertising industry as the leading provider of search network solutions for top digital advertisers.  

The VP,Marketing will drive the outbound communication programs and initiatives for adoption, retention and engagement of our search platform with advertisers and publishers through marketing material, programs, social and brand initiatives.

The ideal candidate will also be influential in managing and building relationship internally and externally through their knowledge of the search advertising business and their experience marketing to advertisers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy and Vision: Oversee creative development and execution of all branding and marketing programs.
  • Optimize our marketing efforts so that current and prospective advertisers, publishers, employees, and the media engage with the company and perceive a clear sense of our purpose.
  • Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing / communications / public relations – tracking progress and performance ROI.
  • Public Relations: Develop media relation strategies that elevate our visibility as a high value, trusted brand. Oversee the organization’s representation in the media.
  • Partnership Marketing and Event Marketing: Conceive and execute events that attract new clients, strengthen relationships with existing clients, and attract positive publicity.
  • Lead corporate marketing team (PR, Design, Events, and Content) to create compelling support materials to drive results.
  • Tell our story to performance advertisers, ad agencies, secure publishers via PR and events.
  • Track competitors in space and provide meaningful competitive landscape analysis

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in Marketing and 5+ in a Leadership role; deep knowledge of online advertising space
  • Strong sense of brand and editorial voice; the ability to harmonize message across multiple channels and marketing vehicle
  • A well-rounded leader who has business acumen/experience encompassing all areas of marketing (branding, product, program development, digital/web/social media, strategy, marketing operations and measurement, research, events, PR)
  • Proven ability to drive innovative and effective marketing programs that generate results
  • Comfortable rolling up sleeves to perform quantitative analysis and reach sound data-based conclusions.
  • Proven ability to manage, develop, and retain a high-performing team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Expertise in building partnerships across internal and external teams
  • Strong sense of brand and editorial voice; the ability to harmonize message across multiple channels and marketing vehicle
  • Advertising agency relationships and connections are a plus
  • Experience developing case studies, whitepapers, etc
  • Experience in a high growth start-up is a plus
  • MBA or masters in related subject matter
