Product of the Year is the world’s largest consumer-voted award for product innovation. Established 30 years ago, POY currently operates in 38 countries with the same purpose: Guide consumers to the best products in their market and reward manufacturers for quality and innovation. Product of the Year winners are backed by the votes of 40,000 consumers in a national representative survey conducted by research partner Kantar TNS, a global leader in consumer research. The award is a powerful merchandising program for marketers proven to increase product sales, distribution and awareness. Winning products are announced in February each year and receive the right to use the Product of the Year logo in marketing communications for two years. The lifecycle of our business begins with selling the annual program to CPG manufacturers and/or their agency partners launching new product innovations across various categories including home care, personal care, food and beverage, etc. while simultaneously promoting the current year's winners through earned and paid media placements, social media and credential activations. Upon the completion of submissions, products go through an evaluation process involving members of the press/media and ultimately winners are determined by the votes of 40,000 consumers. Winners are announced annually at a 250 person awards show each February with national and regional media integrations totaling, on average, 500 million media impressions annually.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are a small and agile team seeking a one-of-a-kind account coordinator. We are looking for a smart, super organized, upbeat individual who gets a kick out of getting things done and is great at working with people and alone. The ideal candidate is a true self-starter who is intuitive and conscientious. He or she should have no trouble jumping from basic office management to sales prospecting and lead generation to editorial brainstorming for social media, website, blog, advertising, e-mail and thought leadership articles for both B2B and B2C outlets. Check the ego at the door, collaboration is paramount and we don't mind washing our own mugs.

Is The Consummate Communicator: Great writer and verbal communicator across all levels ranging from Editor-in-Chief's to dogs. You don’t mind getting out of your comfort zone to ensure decisions are made and goals are met.
Is Tech Savvy: Must possess knowledge of all the usual suspects: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Google apps, Dropbox. Working knowledge of CRM (i.e. Salesforce, Streak), Lead Generation (i.e. The List), Google Analytics, Google AdWords, MailChimp, WordPress, Hootsuite, some knowledge of Photoshop for bonus points!
Is Curious and Committed: Not afraid to learn, ask questions, learn from mistakes, take the ball and run with it. You are highly motivated to learn about your audience, what's important to them, what their needs are and figure out how to drive results with this knowledge. Gets a kick out of a job well done.
OFFICE MANAGEMENT • Answer and direct phones, accept & distribute mail and packages. Manage filing systems, phones, computers, fulfillment, invoicing and order office supplies. • Maintain office standards, coordinate with cleaning crew and building staff.
SALES • Important role in 4 person collaborative sales team razor focused on business growth working with existing and prospective customers. • Identify sales leads and primary points of contact with persistence and creativity. • Serve as contact during post-sales, facilitating strong client relationships. • Collaborate with team in day-to-day campaign maintenance to consistently deliver quality results to clients. • Participate in weekly conference calls during sales season with CEO and Board Members about deliverables, progress, and areas for improvement.
DIGITAL CONTENT AND COMMUNICATIONS • Social Media: Manage creation and distribution of content on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. Play an active role in developing our messaging framework, persona value map, content roadmap, and content schedule. • Copy-Editing: Assist in copy development and editorial research for internal (social media, blog, e-blast, advertising, sales deck) and external campaigns (published articles, interviews, press releases, mat releases). • SEO and Website Optimization: Ensure site structure and pages are optimized to attract and engage those visitors that match the profile of the target audience. Identify and implement strategies using Google Analytics & Google AdWords. •
