Account Director

We are currently looking for an Account Director for our New York office.  The role will be responsible for partnering with a large Agency Holding Company to increase overall adoption of Sonobi’s platform, JetStream. This candidate must be an an expert at project management, possess both a people and technical aptitude to solve client challenges, as well as be a resourceful, solution-focused multi-tasker.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as the project manager for the Holding Company relationship

  • Develop Holding Company’s account growth plan to drive Sonobi’s profitability and further agency's strategic objectives

  • Meet/Exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals through sourcing RFPs and identification of audience-led data opportunities

  • Leverage data as required to build media recommendations and relay optimization opportunities

  • Onboard agency teams and their brands in a timely and efficient manner

  • Work collaboratively with team members and management, internally and externally

  • Partner with Client Services team to ensure effective transition from campaign strategy to execution

  • Ensure the highest level of professionalism is maintained on accounts

  • Work to exceed client expectations

  • Lead business conversations and work with appropriate internal technical stakeholders as necessary

  • Capable of participating in technical conversations both internally and with clients

  • Demonstrate how to use the Sonobi JetStream platform

  • Able to recommend how to use agency’s existing technology stack, including DSPs, in concert with Sonobi JetStream

  • Manage all client communication and internal teams to ensure delivery of client objectives and budgets



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • BS or BA degree in Marketing, Business, Technology or other related discipline

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years experience working in advertising technical account management positions with direct experience in digital ad sales for major consumer facing brands

  • 5+ years experience managing a Revenue-oriented team

  • Consistent and demonstrable track record managing technical initiatives that increase a company’s profitability and sales across a Holding Company

  • Ability and gravitas to speak publicly on behalf of the company; written and in-person

  • Strategic thinker with an ability to drive innovation across technical advertising products

  • In-depth knowledge of the current marketplace for online inclusive of addressable, mobile, and video

  • Solid comprehension of the ad tech marketplace is imperative, inclusive of programmatic constituents

  • Deep knowledge of the digital / ad tech ecosystem

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external partners

  • Broad and deep influential contacts within Agency Holding Companies

  • Exceptional reputation; an influencer and skilled negotiator with vision and experience working across many areas and levels of an organization and the marketplace

  • Possess attention to detail

  • Ability and willingness to travel

  • Global experience, particularly in US and EMEA, necessary
