The Engine is more than an integrated creative agency. We’re more than the sum of our parts. We’re a tribe of creators and strategists, builders and collaborators, learners and students. Over the past eight years, we have built a reputation for collaborating with our clients to push the boundaries and create inspiring work.
We believe the best work comes from an empowered and independent team, free to drive their projects in their own way. We trust each other - knowing each of us is talented, honest, and dedicated. We believe life outside of the studio is a deep source of inspiration, rest, and drive.
We insist on having fun and aspire to create ground-breaking work together. We seek exceptional talent that believes in working with a passionate, egoless team that is building something bigger than themselves.
Meet our ideal Creative Director
You set the standard for the ideas, work, and craft of our agency. You ask the big questions, inspire your teams, and bring clients along in a vulnerable and freeing creative process. You connect smart strategy with emotional stories, push the boundaries of design and imagine what could be.
You are able to assist your team with breaking big ideas into action plans and remain confident in the success of every piece of creative your team presents. You are well versed in all areas of design and copy and are able to lead creative teams with real-world applicability in mind, you love learning new things and diving deeper.
Since you are ultimately responsible for the launch and success of a project, you will be able to maintain a big picture view while guiding your team through the trenches, leading with both caution and abandon while working in tandem with your Account Manager to ensure the client is delighted in every step of the process.
You approach your daily work with a creative focus first, but never lose your passion for healthy project management and communications. You are excited at the prospect of seeing your Account Manager as a partner in crime, problem-solving guru, and coordination master, and you want to utilize that partnership and the agility it provides to make the best work of your career.
Most importantly, you are hungry, looking for something new perhaps a better way and you are energized by the process to find it. Each client will bring its own unique opportunities and you will thrive in a world where you can serve them individually but with a cohesive level of excellence.
Oh, and if you’re not convinced retainers, time sheets, scopes of work, and change orders were actually necessary, come join us. It’s time to change the way this industry treats its people, its clients, and its work.
