Digital Media Director - Technology/Platforms

JOB SUMMARY:

The Media Director – Technology/Platforms will oversee the media technology efforts, ensuring that all systems are utilized to their fullest potential.  These systems should create efficiencies with media processes through system integrations and open areas where new technology will be needed to stay on trend or enhance solutions for clients.  The Media Director will also oversee clients with ad monetization revenue and be responsible for providing guidance on ways to eliminate threats/grow accounts and provide mentorship and develop the ad operations discipline. 

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supply Side Ad Operations

  •          Develops, manages, and monitors P&L’s for assigned accounts

  •          Provide strategic guidance on SSP programmatic strategies, optimization tactics, and additional ways to grow revenue

  •          Build trusting, collaborative relationships with clients and vendors at appropriate levels

  •          Foster relationships across functional areas within a client to build a rapport and deliver intricate solutions

  •          Deliver effective presentations to clients & internal teams

  •          Plant seeds or cross sell products and services to grow Fusion92 share of revenue pool

  •          Collaborate internally to define a long-term vision for key media accounts and a step-by-step implementation roadmap for achieving it

  •          Lead the process of strategic ad operations and serve as a resource for media managers for advice and counsel

  •          Manage expectations of clients and deliverables

  •          Develop and foster account relationships, working towards 100% account retention within a defined portfolio of accounts

 

Technology/Platforms Management

  •         Understand and stay up-to-date with media technologies, trends, vendors, and best practice

  •          Collaborate with internal teams and/or media disciplines to find technology driven solutions to client problems

  •          Evaluation of current technology systems and POV development on new technology systems

  •          Voice new product roll outs to media team based on current media systems in place

  •          Discovery efficiencies in media process through technology enabled platforms

  •          Lead the execution of audience platforms by defining online/offline data captures, integrations, and audience development

  •          Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements across all clients within the DMP

  •          Interfaces with other departments to share ideas, communicate service offerings, and to identify and deliver new solutions for clients

  •          Ability to help clients with attribution, media mix modeling, and ROI measurement

  •          Manage tight deadlines and exceed client expectations with attention to detail and immaculate execution

  •          Participate and present in new business efforts and presentations, where appropriate

  •          Capable of managing up and down the reporting structure

  •          Develop a media technology strategy and roadmap

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  •          6+ years’ experience in ad operations experience on supply side

  •          3+ years’ of demonstrated success in managing and leading people

  •          BA in media, marketing, or business-related field

  •          Strong understanding of DFP (front and back end) including publisher implementation

  •          DCM or Third-Party ad server working knowledge a plus

  •          IAS or brand safety monitoring partner experience

  •          DMP experience/strategy; Lotame knowledge preferred

  •          Client service experience

  •          Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and PowerPoint skills

  •          Demonstrated strong problem solving and project management skills

  •          Proactive approach to internal team needs and client needs

  •          Team player – dependable, respectful, and communicative
