Job Description

Input 1 is a dynamic organization that operates in a rapidly changing environment.

We are seeking a Director of Marketing who has managerial and strategic experience.

Position Purpose

The goal of this position is to develop, produce and support all aspects of the company s marketing efforts. This includes, but not limited to: printed materials, sales support materials, website, e-mail marketing, social media and events. Most of the marketing material will be developed in house by using desktop publishing software. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing people that will report to the Director of Marketing and to ensure that certain standards are met on an ongoing basis.

This position also contributes to the development and implementation of organization strategies, policies and practices. This position will also interact with the members of the Executive team as well as with the Business Development Officers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Executes marketing strategies and objectives as defined by the CEO and EVP of Sales and Marketing while ensuring an effective expenditure of resources.

Provide leadership and manage all employees of the department.

Inspire and encourage others to contribute to company goals and objectives.

Create original marketing materials for internal and external communication.

Create and manage promotional initiatives intended to up-sell and cross-sell new products and services to existing and prospective clients.

Coordinate web-based marketing.

Compose proposals and presentations.

Produce reports from sales and client database.

Adhere to current marketing budget and collaborate with senior management to forecast components of the marketing budget.

Coordinate the production and delivery of client marketing materials including newsletter, direct mail, advertising, collateral editing and proofreading.

Identify areas for market research; manages and executes research projects.

Conduct competitive analyses and customer profiling through the use of surveys, primary and secondary research.

Manage the adherence to corporate identity guidelines and branding principles in coordination with senior management.

Coordinate marketing efforts with strategic, 3rd party business partners.

Qualifications and Skills

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.


8+ years of experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments.

Must be proficient with applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and publishing software, such as Adobe Creative Suite


A strong visual and graphic sensibility.

Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.

Ability to look at situations from several points of view.

Ability to effectively persuade with details and facts.

Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively.

Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.

Familiarity and understanding of both marketing and media relations.
