Marketing/Social Media Marketing Coordinator and Creator

Marketing Coordinator/Social Media Marketing

Job Duties and Expectations 


  • Marketing Proposals & Updates during marketing plan for Sellers - Properties 
    • Write Marketing proposals to present to sellers without need for direction and a focus on optics and the sales process 
    • Work intuitively to craft messages about the home, the branding of the property and take budget into account when writing the proposal 
    • Present fully finished proposals to CEO and then communicate directly with seller as marketing assistant 
    • WRITE Property Descriptions and self edit as intended for publication and official use 
    • Actively manage sellers and email marketing reports to them on a weekly basis with no exception 


  • Video Production - Properties 
    • Organize and write down video concepts/story boards 
    • Help define production needs and organize a list of props and people needed to work through the shoot 
    • Videotape with audio and photograph the process of making the video for social media and post with written captions, call to actions, links to our website and also upload best footage to Dropbox for potential future use in “Making Of” videos 
    • Assist in sourcing props and aiding actors and camera crew on set. 
    • Manage CEO’s phone during shoot so that he can focus on filming. 
    • Capture and livestream the process, including interviewing CEO along the way for Vlog and social media sites 
    • Make sure twitter, linked in, Facebook, Instagram, snap chat and other social media sites are being updated live during shoot 
    • Act as CEO’s assistant on set for any and all details needed for a successful shoot, including driving to retrieve items needed or catering 
    • Communicate with anyone on set, including the sellers in a professional and eternally optimistic manner to present the very best light of the Team 
    • Work with editor to create “making of” or “behind the scenes” video edits where needed 
    • Communicate with editor and seller to manage expectations on delivery of video 


  • Social Media - Photo and Video creation 
    • With BOTH an iPhone and professional camera with mic, lighting and tripod/steadycam capture Seth as he goes about his day. 
    • Sync up schedules ahead of time both 7 days out and the morning of to identify which days, times and appointments are relevant to photograph and video tape 
    • Ensure that Twitter, linked in, snap chat, instagram and facebook are ALL updated on a DAILY basis with unique and original content 
    • Create your own writing, capture your own stories and produce your own independent content as marketing director and also as manager of CEO’s account (with the goal always that CEO never has to create his own content in order to be relevant on a daily basis) 
    • Identify lessons from the days work that CEO or the Team learned, accomplishments that made the team better or more relevant in the industry and post about that 
    • When possible, direct CEO/Team so that you can craft content around trending ideas, comedic concepts or hot topics in real estate/business/marketing/luxury 
    • Use Instagram/Snap Chat filters, GIFs, Geotagging, Face tune, text-over-image apps and ANY and ALL best and most current apps to make content trend better 
    • Tag clients, media outlets, social influencers and anyone relevant in posts. Hashtag most successful words and concepts 
    • Curate all social media pages to audit them and make sure the content is correct, spelling is right, any comments that are poor or offensive are removed, ALL clients are responded to and all leads are immediately followed up with 
    • Set goals and plan out photos and videos for Social Media milestones, plan Throwback Thursdays, Woman Crush Wednesdays, etc 
    • Ensure that the Team charities are being posted about once a month 
    • Ensure that CEO’s photos and videos are being reposted, retweeted and shared by other influencers by ACTIVELY forming alliances and partnerships 
    • Shoot ahead of time and bank best photos/videos for future release*Important 


  • Print Materials - Properties 
    • Manage the process of getting design completed for For Sale Sign cheap flyers, bi-fold in-home high end glossy flyers and multi-page high end brochures for luxury listings 
    • Manage the process of getting coffee table books designed and printed 
    • Manage the graphic design process and make independent decisions. Use best judgement on when to add floorpans from matter port/renderings, historical information, graphic design embellishments, old photos, different font types, slogans or sayings, different colors, famous quotes, plaques or awards for homes, headshots of designers/architects involved and before and after photos. Must have a sharp eye and creative mind 
    • Manage client expectations of turn around times and manage process 
    • Manage getting all printed materials to the properties on an ASAP basis 
    • When needed, work with magazine and newspaper outlets to get ads out for print (very small and rare part of job 


  • Social Media Management for Property Advertising 
    • Work with the outsourced company to manage paid ads and ensure the ads are running and reports are getting to the clients 
    • Upload full albums to fan page with description, pricing and link to website 
    • Analyze ads and determine whether they are working and what changes should be made 
    • Manage Instagram and Facebook story to have photo releases for new and refreshed properties (homes needed more marketing that have been sitting on the market for a while) 
    • Work with outsourced company to create and manage quality control for Single Property Websites for luxury properties 
    • Ensure that albums and marketing are placed on multiple Facebook Groups for Realtors 


  • Website Management 
    • Work with web design team to upload all new listings to website, all videos to website, relevant posts that can be shared on website as blog and manage press all tabs on website 
    • Continually check website for broken links, accuracy and flow 


  • Thought Leadership Management 
    • Continually submit CEO for awards, accolades and recognition opportunities 
    • Actively reach out to social influencers to create collaboration content, speak at events together and share content on social media outlets 
    • Book CEO for podcasts, radio and tv appearances and interviews for news stories 
    • Book CEO for Speaking Engagements in and outside of San Diego 
    • Craft written content in CEO’s voice regarding thoughts on current topics, happenings and issues that effect business, real estate and homeownership 


  • Being a scholar of marketing/social media 
    • Constantly reading technology, marketing and advertising news outlets and chat rooms to understand leading trends in the industry 
    • Constantly studying the competition to understand what can be done better and what we need to do to compete effectively 
    • Look forward to predict trends so that CEO & Team can stay ahead of them
