Paid Media Director

PURPOSE

The Paid Media Director (PM Director) is responsible for maintaining and growing Element Three’s paid media service offerings and managing the Paid Media team as they lead the strategic direction and tactical execution of our client engagements across a range of channels including search, social, programmatic, connected TV, digital radio, and native advertising.

The PM Director supports the agency’s sales/marketing efforts by solutioning and scoping both new and existing client engagements, creating case studies that highlight the department’s successes, and championing Element Three’s paid media service offerings both internally and externally.

The PM Director is expected to drive decisions around talent acquisition, technology investments, and scaling the Paid Media department for continued growth. Additionally, the PM Director will actively contribute on key client accounts through strategy development, campaign development execution, and client impact reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

  • Manage the Paid Media team
  • Maintain and grow revenue across client engagements and new business opportunities
  • Lead client projects, including scoping, pitching, execution, and project closure
  • Lead service offering development for the Paid Media team, including process and instruction documentation, marketing team and agency support, and new business development
  • Work with the Paid Media Project Manager to understand workload, execute projects and monthly management contracts, and client reporting on a monthly basis
  • Oversee all aspects of client engagements by the Paid Media team
  • Educate clients and internal teams on digital advertising strategy and tactics
  • Become a “trusted advisor” to client leadership in all things digital advertising related
  • Vet, recommend, and manage software and marketing technology that supports Paid Media services
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of Clients’ industries
  • Engage in digital-related public speaking engagements, trade shows, and regular blog contributions (E3 and otherwise) on behalf of agency

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

Required

  • Paid Media / Digital Advertising experience (10+ years)
  • Agency experience (1-3 years)
  • Team management/leadership experience (5+ years)
  • Deep expertise with paid search, paid social, and programmatic advertising
  • Experience with expansive marketing tech stacks (ad servers, dsps, dmps, marketing attribution)
  • Bid optimization platform proficiency (Marin, Kenshoo, DoubleClick)
  • Experience in marketing and media attribution

Preferred

  • The Trade Desk certified
  • CRO experience
  • Domo / Tableau experience
