Job Description Within the four primary divisions the Collinson Group comprises individual businesses throughout the world, which until recently have each been cultivated with considerable autonomy. Collinson Group has recently embarked on a strategic initiative to consolidate lines of business, centralize back office functions, and drive collaboration within marketing, business development, product management and client services functions across the businesses. This is an exciting new opportunity to shape a new team to unify our Americas regional marketing efforts across previously separate businesses, expand our digital marketing capabilities, and support aggressive growth plans for the region. This Regional Marketing Director will be responsible for localizing and implementing the Collinson global marketing strategy, while also identifying where regional nuances demand customized marketing strategies and local initiatives, and developing robust regional marketing plans and tactics to support strategic objectives. While the role has a strong B2B bias given the nature of the business, it will also require thought leadership and oversight of our regional B2C and B2B2C marketing efforts. As the senior regional marketing leader, the Marketing Director will be responsible for overseeing all of Collinsons Marketing and PR activities across the Americas region (covering USA and Canada, Central and South America) and will have full accountability for the strategy, development and execution of marketing activities for all of Collinsons propositions within the region. Working closely with the Americas senior leadership team, you will also have a matrix reporting line directly to the Global Marketing Director based in London. By collaborating with senior leads in the commercial divisions, you will input into central product development cycles while owning the localized positioning and articulation of each proposition and associated products within the region. You will drive adoption of products and services through implementing regional marketing campaigns, localizing global marketing materials and creating new materials to address specific regional opportunities, and analyzing regional performance against defined goals and objectives. You will also provide regional marketing leadership and insight to support major global accounts including delivering Account-Based marketing for key accounts in region (including Mastercard, American Express, Visa and Diners), and provide marketing support for significant regional client pitches and RFPs. You will also localize global campaigns to target key sectors in support of business development as well as develop new campaigns where there are specific opportunities in region. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Americas SVP with a matrix reporting line into the Global Marketing Director basedin London, your primary responsibilities will include: Accountable for preparation and delivery of annual Americas regional marketing plan which is actionable and metrics driven Drive the successful use of PR channel to drive brand awareness and preference for Collinson across the region. Work with both central and local PR agency (hub and spoke model) to define campaigns, content plan, and execute Gather regional insights regarding local trends, market dynamics, and future product requirements Represent the region on product development programs to ensure that regional requirements are fed into the product roadmaps (where products are developed outside of region) Feed in requirements to central marketing team for regular updates to product positioning, messaging frameworks and key messages for all brands and products, in line with client and customer feedback, market trends, competitive insight and customer insight. Own and implement localization of product material updates Prepare regular executive-level reports on regional marketing performance, budget utilization, and strategic recommendations for marketing investment Specifically for B2B: Responsible for the localization and execution of global B2B marketing strategy and initiatives in the Americas region. Collaborate closely with the central marketing teams in London to identify activities that will be relevant for region, plan the activities and execute. Deliver measurable and successful marketing campaigns and activity targeting key sectors, including: digital, offline, events, tradeshows and social media Identify where specific regional strategies and tactics are required to complement global marketing plan, and implement while ensuring visibility across the region and with the central team Act as marketing lead to support work with major clients. This may include supporting/driving pitches and RFPs, collaborating with Consumer Marketing team on marketing initiatives to our Clients customer bases, supporting product development initiatives and input into regular meetings and other client engagement Drive the distribution of relevant content to Clients to help ensure ongoing engagement and awareness of greater Collinson proposition, especially for single-vertical clients Accountable for identification of new market opportunities and driving market entry and growth for appropriate brands/propositions Act as key point of contact for creation of content for and distribution of internal communications for Americas region Specifically for B2C: Support, lead and develop the B2C Regional marketing team Accountable for delivering a positive ROI on all B2C marketing activity Support and provide leadership to the B2C team in their objective of exceeding acquisition targets for all B2C consumer brands, both online and offline and exceeding retention and monetization targets. Support and provide leadership to the B2C team in their activation of social activity to engage, acquire and retain customers and deliver differentiated experiences for B2B2C customers that will deliver benefits for Collinsons B2B Client base Knowledge, skills and experience required Minimum of 10 years applied experience managing successful marketing teams, with extensive experience in B2B Marketing as well as well versed in B2C Marketing. Must be a digital native, with clearly demonstrable experience in digital and performance marketing techniques and social media channel usage, with strong emphasis on lead generation and conversion Experience working within an international organization, and working in a highly collaborative working environment, often with remote colleagues Experience working with, and detailed knowledge of marketing within Latin American markets Solid experience operating a high-performance marketing team which is results driven Experience working in businesses targeting the travel and/or financial services sectors a significant advantage Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of management, subject matter experts and staff at every level of the organization.
