The Marketing Strategy team at Viacom is seeking a seasoned, detail-oriented writer & editor to help us scale our editorial presence across platforms covering our advanced advertising products. The ideal candidate is passionate about telling compelling stories and understands the unique value of content marketing. In this role, you’ll cover our advertising and marketing capabilities, with a focus on the innovations, products, and insights that our audiences care most about.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and be able to balance short-term challenges and long-term goals. Enthusiasm for advertising technology, data, and marketing is a must. Reports to Editorial Director of Marketing Strategy department.
+Develop and write articles about our advertising innovation, including advanced advertising products, integrated marketing capabilities, and data insights.
+Proactively pitch story ideas focused on company leadership and industry trends and ideas.
+Collaborate with our internal agency and social team to create well-packaged and well-promoted content.
+Schedule and lead monthly pitch meetings with stakeholders across the advertising and research teams.
+Serve as backup for writer covering our brands, as well as ghostwriter for thought leadership.
+Support our trade and product marketing team.
+5+ years experience in publishing/media.
+Strong interview and writing skills.
+Able to balance creativity with a passion for making processes more effective and efficient.
+Proven ability to balance needs of stakeholders with those of readers.
+Extensive knowledge of the advertising landscape, both traditional and emerging.
+Demonstrated ability to leverage analytics to inform content creation.
+Adept at spotting trends and themes in the advertising and entertainment industries.
+Experience using social media and publishing platforms.
